My CV
-
Education:
I went to a Greek-French school in Athens, Greece and then finished my undergraduate degree (BSc) at the Agricultural University of Athens, with a specialisation in Plant Pathology. I then moved to the UK and did my MSc in Crop Improvement at the University of Nottingham, with my thesis project related again to plant pathology. I am now undertaking a doctoral research project (PhD) involving plant pathology and physiology, still at the University of Nottingham.
-
Qualifications:
I have a BSc degree from Greece, a MSc from the University of Nottingham and hopefully soon a PhD also from UoN!
-
Work History:
I’ve done all sort of small jobs during my undergraduate, including working as a safety supervisor at a children’s playground and as a sales assistant in food stall. During my PhD though I’ve been working as a demonstrator in laboratory practical classes for University undergraduates which I thoroughly enjoy!
-
About Me:
I love all things plant-related! I am a plant pathologist, currently doing research on the link between photosynthesis and plant disease resistance. I love cooking and doing yoga in my free time.
-
My Typical Day:
I would normally get up and have my breakfast and coffee, then go to uni and start my lab experiments, maybe have a couple of meetings with supervisors in the middle. Once I get back home, I will practice yoga with my teacher, cook dinner with my lovely fiance and binge watch our favourite tv series.
